Friendships For Hope

Our mission. We believe we are called to help the oppressed, the poor, the immigrants and the refugees of our community to become educationally, economically, physically and socially viable. Friendships for Hope will provide the oppressed, the poor, the immigrants and the refugees of San Diego County a safe loving environment where they are able to obtain the essential tools to flourish in our mutual community.

Changing the world is possible. We’ve done it before.

It has been rewarding to see hundreds of refugees and immigrants learn enough English and gain sufficient confidence and job skills to get off of the Welfare rolls of our community and move forward with college, or finding jobs to support their own families.

Our Vision

As we are helping refugees to become self-sufficient it is the goal that our program also find ways to become self-sustaining within the next 10 years by 2025. We aim to lead by example and practice what we are teaching to the refugees.

“There are approximately 43.7 million displaced refugees whom have fled their homes as a result of persecution, conflict, and violence. San Diego happens to be home to one of the largest refugee populations in the United States.”
